Andy Potts Named Triathlete of the Year
Colorado Springs, Colo. (January 28, 2008)--Felt-sponsored triathlete Andy Potts has been named USA Triathlon's Male Olympic /ITU Triathlete of the Year and Male Multisport Non-ITU Athlete of the Year. Additionally, Triathlete Magazine named Potts its Triathlete of the Year. Potts was named for these awards in response to his outstanding season.
Potts earned his first USAT Elite National title by winning the Honolulu Triathlon and taking the gold medal at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro in addition to 11th place at the ITU World Championship in Hamburg, Germany. But he didn't stop there. He also won Escape from Alcatraz, the California 70.3 and ultimately won the 70.3 World Championship in Clearwater, Florida.
